Hi first post here, looking forward to many more. Am doing Stratton sunday, and am curious about winter access to LT from the south. I will be driving in from the east through Stratton the town not the ski area. I have a good idea of where i am going, but would appreciate any specific info on trailhead finding. Where the road is closed for the winter..do i hoof it to LT parking? or is there a shortcut in on, i believe it's called North Brookwood Rd just prior to closed section of Kelly Stand(Stratton-Arlington) Rd. Any last minute replies appreciated..i'm heading out by 7am from CT...thanks, sue, ctsparrow

Sorry this is too late to help you.

From Rt 100, the Arlington-West Wardsboro Rd. (also called Stratton-Arlington Rd) is typically plowed as far west as the LT-AT crossing (further west than Kelly Stand). I don't know if it is plowed from the Rt 7 side. The entire parking area is usually cleared. It is sometimes crowded due to snowmobile races.

Hope you had a good day.
