Trails in good shape, with very few mud spots. Many trees fallen higher on the mountains. Heardpaths were easy to follow, not much dead ended trails. There is still a cairn at the crossing for Indian Pass Brook, so we know where to cross it. Not much black flies, easily managable with a little DEET.
Special requirement: Brought my gaiters, but never even think about wearing them. A little DEET certainly helps. I suggest pants, because the heardpaths tend to get narrow near the summits and trees slash a lot.
