Trails: snomo, Cohos Trail, bushwhacks
Route: Not the best idea of mine... but I tried to follow snomo trails north from the Swift Diamond Riders warming hut about a mile before CSP on Diamond Pond Road. Tall grass, muddy tread and deerflies sent me scurrying into the woods... and I whacked the rest of the way up to Sugar Hill through scrappy woods and thick overgrown grassy areas. I then followed a snomo trail to the col, and whacked Tumble Dick. Exited by following the Cohos Trail (yellow blazes) NW back to Coleman State Park... wishing this was how I had hiked the peaks to begin with. Road walked back to my car.
Comment: a kindly Cohos trail maintainer was weedwhacking the grassy Cohos Trail. On this particular date, the Coho was "mowed" from Coleman State Park up to the 2600'+ mark.
