Trail: Cross Rivendell Trail from Dame Hill Road parking area just north of Route 25A in Orford.
Date: Thanksgiving Day, 2010
Conditions: Trail in excellent shape. Well-marked, with helpful signage, easy to follow. Just a few blowdowns, easily stepped over. Virtually no ice. Mellow hike, perfect for getting a little pre-turkey exercise.
Note: Sunday Mountain summit is wooded, so views are best this time of year when leaves are off the trees. However there are also ledgy viewpoints on both the easterly and westerly approaches.
