Trail Conditions:
Hard packed snow all the way to Marcy dam. Took the ski trail to the start of the Tabletop herd path, everything was well defined and packed. No problems finding either summit, tracks easy to follow.
Special Equipment:
Snowshoes, poles helpful, crampons would make icy section on Phelps easier, although I didn't put them on.
Comments:
No view on either summit today, both were obscured with snow and cloud cover. Did meet a bold Pine Martin on the top of tabletop- he circled me growling a couple of times right at the summit sign. Guess he wanted my powerbar as much as I did! 6 hour round trip.
