Back from a great trip...well, we've been back for awhile, but going on vacation never bodes well for a return to work.
In any event, here's a brief recap of our adventures in California:
Day 1: Fly to Reno, Drive to Tahoe. Go for run immediately upon arrival. Welcome to 6,200'! Definitely less oxygen.
Day 2: 12 mile hike around Squaw Valley, including a short stretch on the PCT.
Day 3: Danielle takes the day off to do "girly things" for her friend's wedding. Ryan is taken on a 24 mile mountain bike ride on the Tahoe Rim Trail with some extreme action adventure types. (Side note: I don't mountain bike.) The cuts and bruises are still healing.
Day 4: Ryan recovers. Danielle runs in the morning.
Day 5: Recover from wedding. Drive to Yosemite.
Day 6: Hike Half Dome. 18 miles round trip, with cables to "assist" with the final 400 vertical feet.
Day 7: Hike North Dome. Great views of Yosemite Valley.
Day 8: Hike Lembert Dome. Short day as we switch campgrounds.
Day 9: Hike Mount Dana, 13,053! Ummm...WOW!
Day 10: "Hike" (more of a flat walk) into Lyell Canyon.
Day 11: Back to Reno for the flight home.
Summary: Go to both these places immediately.

(You can ignore the wedding photos if you like. Pretty standard wedding photos. But, you'll also find pics of our trip this weekend in the Whites.)
