Hiked up the Tecumseh today from Waterville Valley ski area. The trail is now packed but that might be short lived due to the VERY strong winds???
Encountered a hiker at the end of the long, straight section who claimed he had been to the summit. But the HUGE, unbroken drifts we encountered on both branches of the the summit loop (up to our chests in places) and abrupt end of the snowshoe track about 1/10 mile from the summit make me think otherwise. Must be a member of the "close enough" club.
Very cold and windy today. Face mask and goggles a must. And snowshoes of course.
