Got a mid morning start and the parking lot was pretty full, but not a bad 1/4 mile to warm up the legs. It was about 18 at the start of the hike partly sunny and wasn't too cold. Tecumseh trail was well packed, wore micro spikes the whole way, poles were helpful, no major icy spots. Two major water crossings were a bit tricky but doable with a little scouting up or downstream for a good spot. My chocolate lab didn't mind the cold water and decided to get right in. Kept an eye on him the entire way and he didn't show any signs of being chilly. The Summit was a bit cool but an extra layer was all that was needed. Clouds moved in but still a dscent view with what appeared to be some recently removed trees. Brought my tsl sled for the decent, dangerously fast so I opted to slide on my rear end. Made it down in no time at all. Thanks to SherpTom, this is my first post on VFTT.
