Started in spring with sun, mild temps and some bare trail, but at the top it was winter with a cold gusty wind and icy trail. Trail still holding up without postholing on the main packed portion (no obvious monorail yet) but to the sides there are some. I saw snowshoes, crampons, and bare boots on others. I used microspikes except down low where there are bare patches and two summer like stream crossings, and the mighty tough little dog used claws. The trail up to the ski area spur was soft churned snow. After that it got increasingly crunchier and near the top there was some real ice. I would recommend microspikes or stabilicers up high. Only one bend under of significance. Last stream crossing snow bridge still intact. Overall, the trail is short and fast.
