I am a big fan of the Tecumseh Trail coming up from Tripoli. We left cars at the Waterville ski resort parking lot around 9 and drove over to Tripoli. Swarms of campers along the road. Huge extended families with tentmahalls. The lot only had one other car in it and the trail all the way to the summit is in magnificent condition, as it was coming down to the parking lot.
The lowest crossing just off the ski parking lot is bone dry, rather scary, actually.
