Three of us went up the Tecumseh trail out of the ski area. Brook crossings were easy and a very nice snowshoe trail all the way. Up higher before the ridge snowboarders made it a nice wide trail. We thought it was cold and windy on the way up. when we hit the sosman trail and went up on the cone we found out just what cold and windy in the mtn's is all about. This is why these mtn's are dangerous. Took the sosman trail over to the ski area and went to the hut for warm food and to warm up. Going back up the ski trail and across the sosman was pretty brutal, in the open areas our tracks were blown away and on the ski trail you had to brace yourself in the gusts so you wouldn't get knocked down. Glad to get on the downhill and out of the heavy wind. All in all a good hike and a new level of respect for the mtn,s.
