Backpacker recently did an article about the Great Gulf where they mention the Bluff; “The perfect spot for Presidential peakbaggers is on The Bluff, a saddle on the edge of the 5,552-acre Great Gulf wilderness, which holds the largest glacial cirque in the Northeast.” Is this the Bluff that is next to the Osgood tensite? Or are they one and the same?

The Bluff is at the other end of the Osgood Cutoff, a little over 1/2 mile from the tentsite. There are a couple of established, primitve campsites nearby. I haven't been there in several years, but I think I recall a nice view.

There is a fine view from the Bluff - take a look here.

Behind an enormous boulder, there is a large, bare, open area that serves as a campsite. It's not a particularly cozy spot, imho, but if you wander up into the woods (avoiding the potty spots) there are some small tentsites.
