Pictures of Trolley Anchors

I found myself in Evans Notch on Monday for a hike and stopped off in Hastings on my way home to look for any signs of the hand trolley. I found the ledge that the trolley left from and saw a few remnants. Here's a link:

Trolley

You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "next" to view all three pictures. I apologize for the awkwardness of the link.

There were two large pins, each about 40cm tall, and another bundle of iron pins that appear to be cables snipped off near the ground.

I hiked a trail in Utah that still had a trolley, as I recall it had a separate rope to each shore so you could pull it over if it was left on the wrong side. Like all such conveyances, it was easy to pull yourself the first half across but tougher the second half when you were working against the sag in the cable.
