Looks like the entire Boreas-Wolf Pond ridge will be accessible from the west.

DEC has agreed to purchase or obtain conservation easements on most of the Finch Pruyn land that The Nature Conservancy bought last year. There are an additional 20,000 acres that are still in negotiation.
While the term 'historic' is often overused, this acquisition truly fits the description.
More details will be coming out today. I'm trying to get a copy of the actual agreement and will post a link to it when available.
The devil is in the details.
