Has anyone hiked this lately? It's the smaller peak below peak above the nubble. I know it has another name but can't remember right now.

I haven't hiked it in a while and want to go there when the leaves start to changed but wonder if the "path" is still somewhat noticable.

The bootleg trail is still there and in excellent shape as of a few days ago.

P.S. On some maps it is identified as “Haystack Mtn”. Perhaps that’s the other name you were trying to think of?

re Nubble

That was it. I haven't hiked it in a long time and was thinking it would be nice to do again.

Thanks!

re it's been a while

Yea, it has. I have been lurking around but haven't been active posting. Haven't gotten to do much with a 2 year old. I can't carry the weight. Took him up Mt. Major and Uncanoonuc. Hoping he will enjoy going out and maybe next year he will walk more. He still naps so gets into the I'm tired and want to take my nap mode. :D My husband watched/took him up Artist Bluff while we did the Lafayette Ridge. That felt great. I miss hiking but know soon....

I just hiked it Monday - what a beautiful peak, and the trail is in pristine condition. 360 views 45 minutes from the car - can't beat that!

The last time we hiked it it was little overgrown but the views....you got that right. I love them. Can't wait to go out again.
