After far too long away from the Whites I took a spin up yesterday on the promise of great weather. MichaelJ had offered up a suggestion of doing Osceola and East Osceola in an email but because of uncertainty I had not responded either way.

Would the weather be true to forecast? Would I bump into MichaelJ? Would I be eaten alive by bugs? Would I conquer the Chimney?

The answer to these important questions and a bunch of pictures can be had on my website HERE .

I can sum up the whole day in a single word - fantastic! :)

Bob, Great trip report. I loved oseola too. In fact one of my favorite photo's is of my son laying on his elbows at the edge of the ledge over look on Oseola summit. boots

I have to say ... I really love the hiking community that we've built around this site. It was simply an awesome surprise to crest the slope onto the East Peak summit and find HikerBob there. And of course the company of Tony, Melanie, Audrey and Pat throughout the hike was excellent!

A perfect day, a perfect hike, and perfect beer and food relaxation in the outdoor seats at the Woodstock Inn...

My pictures are here , though most of them look just like Bob's.
:D

Great pictures, Bob. I like how you stop to record the trail; it brings the trip back home.

Michael, your link isn't working. It's a good thing your pics look just like Bob's!:D

Oopsie. Fixed.

And it was great to drop in on Peri on the way, home, too ... I shouldn't leave that out of my report!
:D

Michael -- Your first picture looks like the exact spot where I slipped and broke my @ss last October! Bbbrrrrr. Other than that, great pics as usual. A very touching shot of Audrey I might add.

And very nice to see you all! Made my day! I only wish I was out there enjoying the summits, too.

Usually, my first picture is of the trailhead, so I was a bit concerned there for a minute! That shot was blurry so I deleted it from the album.
