Hiked both Osceola's yesterday under mostly cloudy skies and cool/chilly temperatures (probably 38-42 degrees on the summits). We went out-and-back via the Kanc. Saw 15-20 people total all day.
Ran into several other VFTT-ers along the way, including prino, gail and dave bear. Always a treat to have that happen.
Conditions - No ice on the trail anywhere. One stream crossing took a few seconds of thought to determine the best place to cross. Some slippery leaves on most of each of the trails, but this didn't put too much of a damper on things.
Maintenance Notes - the Mt. Osceola Trail has a few small "leaners" and one or two large blowdowns that could be chopped up. Some brushing could also be used, especially since the winter users would greatly benefit from that. Email me if you want more trail maintenance info.
