The snowpack went to seed quick

I was over in Randolph today with snowshoes on. Off trail the snowpack jumped from winter to April conditions. No trace of a crust, just deep postholes with snowshoes this afternoon with hints of monorail adjacent to old snow shoe tracks. Still plenty of snow so I expect with the switch back to cold weather a crust should finally form.
