Trails: Ethan Pond, Thoreau Falls, Wilderness, Shoal Pond, out Ethan Pond
Ethan Pond Trail: about .3 mile before Kendron Flume Trail jct., there is a baldface hornet nest which tagged at least two hikers..there is a handwritten note shortly before it...otherwise trail is in good shape usual rocky self in places..
Thoreau Falls: pleasantly surprised by the nice footing and only a few blowdowns and one short washed out section from Irene..all crossings done easily.
Wilderness: again smooth sailing with some blowdowns and a small washed out section and couple overgrown spots..
Shoal Pond:brushy and overgrown with lots of blowdowns near the southern end, pretty good up near the pond...
We really enjoyed the grade of these trails, not too steep, and interesting terrain and vegetation and historical area of course....
