Comments: This was a 1.5 hr hike/mtn bike combo. 3 miles each way from the busy Livermore depot using Livermore Rd, Greeley Ponds Tr and Timbercamp Tr but feels very remote. The last mile up I mostly pushed the bike - it's just a little too difficult uphill ride for me. Through the trees there were awesome vistas - very close to the "painted cliffs" off the Osceolas and great close-ups of the Tripyramids. Wow! Not a soul in sight! Interesting gravel switchbacks unlike any other in the area. I went as far as High Camp, but a herd path then headed off sharply left and steeply into the Osceola col. I guess that's an alternative b/w ascent to the Osceolas? The return was a nice ride out.
