Nice, comfortable day with good views. The ridge was easy to walk with no traction. There were areas with 2" of snow and crusty ice.
I went down via Avalon trail which I thought was extremely hazardous - large ice flows. I brought my 6-pointers but kept hesitating putting them on (I should have put them on!). One guy was putting on full crampons to go up it.
Anyway, an nice day to be out and good views into the pemi wilderness!
