Snow right from the start as you enter the woods in Crawford Notch. I barebooted without trouble up to the split below Avalon. The crossings were a bit elevated. The first was rock-hoppable and the second involved getting your boots a little wet. Used microspikes from the Avalon split until close to the first crossing again. No ice issues, nice consistent snow coverage. There's definitely tons of snow left on these 3 guys. One note that heading up the Willey Range Trail from Tom about 5-10 min up the major path leaves the trail and meanders a bit west of where the trail lies so when you see a split right, stay left instead. Since I started up right around sunset the snow was wonderfully fast as it quickly refroze when the sun dipped. In fact, probably the best snow conditions I've encountered this spring.
