We took the standard loop hike starting at the Highland Center and ascended by the Avalon Trail to the A-Z trail to reach the ridge and tagged the summit of Tom first. We then continued on the Willey Range Trail over Field and to Willey. We came back on the Willey Range trail to Field and then descended by the Avalon trail, over Avalon, and back to the trail head. Trail was nicely packed out to start, but continuous light snowfall throughout the day started to build up. We wore microspikes the whole day, but snowshoes would have been fine too- probably necessary now that the snow's still coming down. The trail was pretty icy going up Avalon, but otherwise conditions were great.
