Tom, Field Willey..via Avalon, A-Z, Willey range

Trail Conditions:Avalon well packed out to A-Z Junction..A-Z packed out as was Mount Tom Spur. Willey range broken out but soft headed to Field..now somewhat packed out. Willey Range was untracked but now packed out to Willey with a minor off trail excursion. Descent on Avalon packed out with plenty of soft snow

Equipment: Snowshoes with traction were the perfect choice today...

Comments: No VFTT today but excellent snowshoe conditions, good hiking temps and light winds made for a fine day.. Hiker Ed's group, the Wednesday Group and some OTHH combined for trail breaking and packing and there is a nice soft though packed out track all along this route..Quite the winter wonderland..lots of snow along the ridge..
