There is a jewelry store in the Bangor area that was running a promotion a couple of weeks ago that if you bought something before a certain date (about now I think) and there is a white Christmas then they (the jewelry store) would reimburse you for the goods.

I bet their insurance company is getting really, really nervous!

Yup. It's called "conditional rebate" coverage.

The jewelry store is Springer's, with three locations in ME and NH, and I recall that 6" of snow has to fall on Xmas day at the Portsmouth store on Market Square, less likely than at the Bangor store, but not impossible this year. In fact, 6-8" is forecast for Portsmouth tomorrow. But you had to buy your bling by December 13th to compete.
