No affiliation with STP, but I noticed they have a bunch of Topo CD's from National Geographic for sale there:

Here's one:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/...graphic-TrailSmart-National-Park-CD-ROMs.html

More:

http://www.sierratradingpost.com/Product.aspx?baseno=98469

and there are some others, but I thought the above were of some interest to folks here, there is "Maine" in there...

However, they are labelled as NOT Mac compatible and for the Windows folks, it also mentions you should upgrade the trailsmarts from www.topo.com before you use these. I presume these are just older versions of the software.

Just thought I'd pass this on. Don't come after me if you buy this and get lost and need SAR... :)

Is this the same software you can use to download your GPS coordinates and get a display of your track vs. time/mileage?

Percious, sorry I did not see this sooner. I don't have a gps so I cannot say how well this works, but there is a whole section in the map's help files that explains how to create waypoints and load them into your gps. So I guess the answer is yes but I have not tried it. The lousy help files are copyright protected and the program won't let me do a copy paste to post them here.
