A sad story from Labrador, Canada

Two hikers who disappeared in 2003 were found in the Torngat mountains.

There's a thread on the Highponters forum: Torngat climbers thread , including a link to this informative article: Globe and Mail article.

The bodies were found in separate spots so I am guessing Dan fell and was hurt or killed and then Sue went to possibly get help (her satelite phone was at their base camp) and she fell or got lost in a whiteout. I think we will never know the final details.

Quite a tragedy.
