Trip through Pemi 10/20+21
Lincoln Woods -> Bonds -> S. Twin -> Galehead -> 13 Falls -> Pemi River -> Lincoln Woods
Trail Conditions: Trail along Pemi river was good until BondCliff Tr, where leaves can make sections slightly hard to follow, but not too bad. About 2" of snow on the trail on the 21st made trail near Guyot slippery. Twin Brook Trail had much leaves and was a little hard to follow but again, not bad.
Special Equipment Required: Trekkin Sticks helpful as always, warm clothes. May need some light traction in near future, but got along fine without during this trip.
Comments: Wonderful trip through Pemi tagging 4 NH4k's along the way. Woke up at Guyot Shelter and watched snow come down while drinking my coffee on that little shelter chair. Very peaceful! Really enjoyed my time in the Pemi without any crowds. 28mi logged during this overnight. First time over the Bonds, but will not be my last! Walking out in dark along Pemi was easy but did seem to go on forever. Great trip!
