I went up to do the Tripyramids today and Tripoli Road was closed for paving from the Waterville entrance to Livermore parking area. Not noted on WMNF site as of tonight at 7:30PM. Had to back track through the resort area and take side streets in from other side. Many of these roads also appear to be recently paved and they are finishing off Rte 49 too. I don't expect this will last too long. They are just scraping and skim coating with pavement. If you don't know the area (like me) the roads through the resort to parking area are not very obvious so I'd suggest having GPS or taking a peak at map before heading over. Probably be a non issue in a few days but I figured I'd throw it out there. Not sure how far up Tripoli road they are planning on going. From CT so I'm not "in the know" on the local plans.

This is very interesting. The paved sections of Tripoli Road are a total mess. Last spring (2012), before opening the road, it was surveyed for "fixing". Nothing happened last year, I wonder if in their wisdom they plan to repave it in mid-summer.

If you go in by the golf course, just hang a left at the town library and follow the road to Livermore parking lot.

Between mud season and ground frost there's not much time for paving but lets hope they don't pave the whole road through Woodstock! I'm sure some asphalt salesman and road contractors have advocated that.
