Trails in good shape with no snow/ice until just below the steeps. Then lots of thin, hard ice, with just a dusting of snow, all the way to Middle Tripyramid. There were several blowdowns and head-hunters and we spent some time removing most of them. Crossings not an issue.
Misrospike ST's were perfect for traction but care was needed on the ice, particularly on the boulder sections on North Tripyramid's cone.
Nice day on a gorgeous trail. Limited views, though we could see the snow-covered Presidentials through the fog/haze. Giff's remarkable Fanno saw made short work of even some larger blowdowns but adversely affected group dynamics as other saws carried were shorter and dull and lacked the genuine leather scabbard. We saw no other hikers.
