Trail Conditions/special Equipment: Livermore road barebootable (with microspikes) until the ski trail departs before the S.Tri fork. After that, snowshoes all the way. You may want the biggest ones you can find for the Scaur Ridge Trail. I punched through many times with my smaller snowshoes. Sorry!!! The snow is rotting quickly. The ridge itself is still pretty firm for snowshoes.
Eventually, the snowshoes broke in several places on the descent. They have been good to me, may they R.I.P.!!!!!
