Trails: Livemore from Waterville Valley side, Tripyramid trail (up N. Slide. N. M. & S Tripyramids, down S. Slide back to Livemore.

Conditions:
Livemore: fine except some Irene erosion.
Beginning of N. Tripyramid trail to the slide: first part is a river then hard to follow, a lot of leaves, I saw no blazes.
North slide: wet on sides, dry in middle, very tough, but probably as usual (my first time). Col between peaks: A lot of evidence of Sandy but easy step-overs or walk arounds, could tell that someone (Wolfgang?) had done some work since Sandy. Down S. Slide: Dry, easy (relative to north slide) .
Bottom of south slide back to Livemore: Lots of step-over streams that I suspect are not normal. Lots of damage from Sandy. Some large step-overs, a few crouch unders, some step-arounds, but a few hard climb-overs or mini bushwacks around. (see pictures at my blog below). Lots and lots of small diameter debri; I moved a lot, but much much more that I didn’t move. Also, two fairly tough river crossings. The first was a roaring river, (not on my maps), dumping into the slide brook - rock hopable with caution. The second was across the Avalanche river just before the Tripyramid trail meets back up with Livemore. It could have been waded but being a bit cool I chose to tight-rope across a tree which I think was fallen by Sandy (see pics)

Special Equipment: Good rubber foot traction and good grip gloves on the slide (stow the poles).

Comments. The N. Tripyramid slide; My toughest, probably my most dangerous non-winter, but my most satisfying and now my favorite section of trail yet.
