Warm temps during the day and about a dozen hikers resulted in a well packed snow trail all the way to the middle summit. Bare boots fine to the steeps, where about half the people we saw changed to crampons, and the others made their way up with only a little trouble in microspikes. After the freezeup Monday, snowshoes or crampons would probably be a good idea. Snow covered nearly all of the rocks and ice on the upper parts of the trail, with only a few patches of flow ice exposed. All water crossings had open water, but were easily hopped. No blowdowns of significance. Trail was very well protected from the forecasted strong Westerly winds, and wind was not an issue.
