Tunnel Brook Road (WMNF) closed

Tunnel Brook Rd (FR 7) was gated today, Dec. 10; this closes the direct access to the Benton trailhead on Moosilauke. You can still drive in the unplowed part of Tunnel Brook Rd. to the bridge where the gate is but the snow has not really started here yet. Beyond the gate, there's only about 1/2" snow over ice so it's not skiable yet. Great for those otherwise useless Yak-Trax however.

I'm not sure when this might have appeared had not a certain individual pointed out the usefulness of such

Note however that they still show the Tunnel Brook Road as open :-(

No offense to the feds, but is this a joke? The Jericho Road hasn't been "open" (ungated) for years! And, of course, Tripoli Rd is closed, too, but that's at least recent.
