Conditions were wet and muddy at times, but nothing out of the ordinary. This is a beautiful trail as it parallels Slide Brook and then gets to an area with beaver activity up by the ponds. The views up to Moosilauke and Clough were nice, but would have been better if the clouds had parted. Still, the cool weather kept the bugs at bay for pretty much the entire trip. I'm sorting thru 329 pics, and will have a full trip report soon.
Special Required Equipment- Boots, camera, usual hiking gear, bug spray for warmer days. Camera is essential-the area is beautiful and there was lots of moose sign.
