Date of hike: 11/5/08
Temps were in the 40s in the morning and the 50s in the afternoon. Because of this the 3rd crossing of the Little River (skipped the 1st two) was easy since there was no ice on the rocks.
There was almost no ice at all going up to North Twin's summit. A little ice in the col between North and South Twin, then a little more ice on the way down from South Twin to the hut. Minimal ice on the short trip to Galehead summit.
Gale River trail had little patches of ice and was somewhat muddy. Water crossings were easy.
No traction was needed today due to the warm temps.
