The climb up South Twin is one of the best constructed bony, straight-up trails in the whites. Dry, excellent shape, good puncheon work done this summer. One blown-down pine between Guyot and Zealand (I don't carry a saw at this time of year) - a six-foot person can straddle it, a 5 foot seven person can scoot under.

No special equipment needed.

The cloud cover cut the views at Zeacliff to somewhat obscured silhouettes of the ridges only. Great corn chowder at Zealand Falls Hut for an early lunch on the way out to the car at Zealand Trailhead. This finished NH and VT sections of the AT for Screwloose.
