based on the pattern of the poison ivy, I'd wager I was sitting at the summit on a rock surrounded by PI

Uhhhhh ohhhhhh. I've been there! If it gets out of control.......try jumping in a swimming pool.......bleach does wonders to help dry it up! (prob. not recommended, but desperate times call for desperate measures!!) good luck!
