This issue is close to home for me, as I now hike occasionally in the San Gabriels.

There's been an ongoing thread on the San Gabriel BB here. The former supervisor of the SG, Jody Noiron, has just been given a lateral assignment to the neighboring NF, the San Bernardino NF, as these congressional hearings now startup. Stay tuned.
