Finished on Allen on Monday, Sep 27, 2004. It has been a two year long journey. Thanks for all the support & hints on this forum.

Way to go Ravi! Note that along the way to finishing his 46 this summer, "wannabe" found the time to take a drive to Maine and hike up Katahdin! Wanna be a 115er?! I'm glad that I was along on your Dix trip last year (the weekend of the "great crash" in August). Congratulations.

Thanks all. No plans for "what's next?". Maybe help my wife become a 46r and hike parts of the Appalachian Trail (Curious after reading "A walk in the woods"). Time to send in the last few 46 reports.

The reason I kept Allen to the last was because I could not find a hiking partner earlier. I had heard Allen is treacherous, and it was true. I do appreciate the fact that my regular hiking partner went with me on this, inspite of the fact that his hiking shoes were bothering him and he ended up with blisters.

I was going to save Allen for last. Instead I did Allen the weekend before #46 (Phelps) and boy was it grueling. Phelps was MUCH easier, so we all had some energy left at dinner time.
