Great hiking conditions for the last weekend of winter.
Crampons required, snowshoes werent.
Lions Head winter rotue a bit icy in the steep sections. A lot of the handhold trees dead or dying, dont assume that because they are standing that they will hold your weight.
Snow was firm crust with 3" fresh snow, day was warm up top and crampon balling was an issue coming down off summit.
Great day for hiking until I broke a crampon co,omg off Lions head. Took a few tries for repairs but final repair got me down the winter route.
