Does anyone have any expierence shooting these magnificent creatures? I ended up killing a deer fly that was buzzing my head and it landed in the water. I noticed a water strider came out of his little cave and started eating it. So I had to take a picture. What do you think?

Very nice. I suppose the only thing that might improve upon this image would be having just the sky in the reflection. But that may well have been impossible. Also the tones in the dark part of the reflection complement the tones of the two insects. And the strider's legs stand out well against the reflection because of those dimples on the water surface. So it all very neatly works.

Very sharp image also. You are doing really well with that little camera.

Thanks all! It was an overcast day so yes it would have been hard to catch the sky reflection. Another problem I see not sure if you all noticed or not but that shadow in the bottom portion of the photo is actually me and the camera I think! It took about 7 shots with the camera to get it from being blurry. I had to use the macro mode with the camera which made the photo sharper.
