This short hike was launched from the western trailhead on Clifford Brook Road in Warren, NH.
The Carr Mountain Trail was in good shape up to the junction with the Waternomee Falls Spur Trail.
The Waternomee Falls Spur Trail was in good shape up to the point where it crosses a branch of Clifford Brook before continuing onward to Waternomee Falls. On the other side of this branch brook crossing, the trail is very faint. However, even if you should lose the trail, you can be assured of reaching the falls if you just continue hiking in a straight line for a short distance of about 0.1 mile.
This small hike was done in conjunction with another hike a few miles to the north of Warren. Here, an off-trail trek was launched from the Blueberry Mountain Trail to Owls Head (the one in the Benton Range).
