This afternoon (Friday) I drove to Waterville Valley by Tripoli Road. No snow at all on the road until about the Three Ponds trailhead, then increased rapidly to about an inch (I did not get out of the car to check). Remained that way almost until the junction with the Waterville Valley road system near Depot Camp, where Tripoli Road and the town roads appeared plowed.

More snow is forecast tonight, so no promises for tomorrow!

Thank you, Mohamed, for your last minute update. We were able to drive in Tripoli road from exit 31 on Sat. morning. And as you reported the snow cover was beginning just before the East Pond trailhead. But because of the winds overnight we had to dodge several downed trees across the road (they were cleared by the time we drove out). We left cars at the East Pond trail and continued to Osceola trailhead. The snow cover must have been difficult for a couple cars as the tire tracks were all over the road as I drove out at the end of the day.
