Trails barebootable but you could wear light traction. Only a few very short icy sections that can easily be avoided. Still possible to drive to summer parking lot.

Only 3-4 inches on top. About 1-2 at the base.

Don't miss the (new?) view about 100 ft past the summit of Waumbek.

The view 100' past Waumbek has been there for a while. What's fairly new is that the summit of Starr King has been opened up even further for an excellent view of the entire Presidential Range. Roberta & I bare-booted the whole way - just a few icy spots (the usual 3 above the spring) and a handful down low in the hardwoods. Nice to bump into you and your friends.
