Yes there is mud. A bit is still soupy but most is greasy. A few more days of dry weather and it should firm up. No snow or ice. Two blow downs (probably snow downs from last weekend) could use a saw. They are both accessible from the parking lot/trail head --- one is over the road right before the parking lot, the other is just 100 ft. up the trail. About 45 minutes up the trail is another medium size branch that a couple rugged people, or a group, could drag off trail into the woods. I felt more secure with hiking poles on the greasy sections, especially coming down.
