Did this AWESOME easy day hike for the first time today. Took the Old Bridle Path up to the summit and then took the Ramsey Trail > Undercut Path back to 113 (followed by short road walk). This was a loop of about 2.2-ish miles.

The Old Bridle Path was extremely well-maintained (it reminded me of the White Dot Trail on Mt. Monadnock a lot) and not nearly as steep as I thought it would be (no hands required).

On the way down, we took the much less traveled Ramsey Trail > Undercut Path. This was MUCH rougher and there were 2 or 3 times where it took a few seconds to figure out where the trail went. It could definitely use a little bit of a trail work (some brushing and cutting needed; 2 or 3 more paint blazes would also help).

Views from the ledges on West Rattlesnake are legendary. Definitely one of the best views in the entire state. Pictures do NOT do it justice due to the wide panorama of bays & inlets of Squam Lake.

Will revisit in the winter, but will only snowshoe the Old Bridle Path up and down.

Highly, highly recommended!
