Is anyone planning a trip to West Scar - the real one - not the cannister peak, in the near future? I've signed in to the cannister, but that was two years ago, when I had no idea that the cannister might not be on the peak. Now I feel like a cheater! Can't sleep at night. . . .

Did you summit from Loon or from the Kanc? I doubt you tackled it from Little East Pond. Bummer, I could have tagged along!

Heh-heh. You're legit, the committee allowed the "east peak of West Scar" to count. However, it is in fact a much easier hike, and a beautiful forested summit on the "west peak of West Scar". The trees are widely spaced out, interspersed with ferns and hung with moss. It really is worth a visit. Heck, I might even talk myself into going back someday...

Get some sleep, it is definately not worth the aggravation.:) I did have some fun zipping down Loon's slopes on a Swiss Bob.

Thanks for the conscience calmers. . . .It seems a good place to get to, but not to lose sleep over. Perfect.
