About 8 inches of snow, some ice under the snow. It is a light, fluffy snow, we bare booted(winter boots), trail is well broken now. 
Could have used snowshoes for going up, think they would have been a pita comming down, bare boots great for the down. We did not post hole because the snow was light and fluffy, just broke out a nice path. Great day to be out, lots of fun sliding back down!!!
