Parked a car at the Rt. 2 trailhead outside of W Bethel and drove to Little Lary Rd off of Rt. 113 near Hastings Campground...trail starts on grassy logging road, bears right at an arrow on a post, then diverges left with arrow on a tree...this section up and over to the crossings of Wheeler Brook are severely overgrown with a few faded white blazes marking the faint path and through mud pits..but once near the crossing(s) the trail becomes more defined and eventually is a wide gravel road out to Rt. 2..wonder if the southern section will remain open, looks like it is very lightly used..however Wheeler Brook could provide a few secluded pools for a picnic and a swim not far from Rt. 2..
